LT-OOO-EEE!

Well, nothing makes you feel like you've really entered the World of Write Craft like attending your first conference. Let me just say that BYU's LTUE Symposium is just about the most awesome opportunity out there. $10 a day?? And Panels featuring top notch successful published authors AND editors?? It's legal robbery!

And I only have an awesome husband who took a day off to be ME so I could take a day off to be at LTUE.

Biggest benefit of the conference? The enthusiastic atmosphere, hands down. Typing away at your computer screen is a lonely biz, and the pats on the back from your loving family only goes so deep. Meeting strangers who are just as enthusiastic about your hobby and your improvement regardless of whether they've read a word of your writing...Do I need to spell out the emotional reaction here?

I've been involved in "similar interest groups" before and frankly, I'm used to a lot of unspoken envy and competition gauging. Not so at LTUE. I'm positive I'll come across the same at LDStorymakers. Will I find that there's a difference outside of typically amicable Utah? I'll only know when I know!

But people are awesome.

Hey, remember I'm a SAHM who can count on her hand the number of people I visit with who have a developed function of language and self expression in a given week. Well, that's increased to both hands and my toes now that I attend my writers class once a week. ANYWAY.

Great conference. I'll blog notes taken and share buzz abt the people I met another time.
